Booklets and videos documenting the results of the Uniterra program

In 2019 and 2020, I was responsible for coordinating the documentation of the results of the Uniterra program, implemented by CECI and WUSC with funding from the Government of Canada.

Operating in several countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, this volunteer cooperation and international development program aimed to build the capacities of local stakeholders, in order to increase employment opportunities and foster entrepreneurship for women and youth.

The deliverables of this vast documentation project included 9 booklets and 31 video clips aimed at a variety of audiences, including the Canadian public, funders, donors, partners, potential partners and former volunteers.

My work involved:

  • collaborating with the Uniterra program teams based in 9 countries to identify projects whose results were particularly interesting to document;

  • collaborating with the Uniterra program's recruitment team to mobilize several Canadian photographer-videographers who would capture images of previously identified projects;

  • collaborating with country teams and photographer-videographers to ensure that documentation proceeds according to plan;

  • collecting and sorting information on the challenges addressed by the Uniterra program, as well as the overall approach and results achieved;

  • writing, editing, translating or coordinating the translation of all written content, in collaboration with the Uniterra program teams, for the 9 documentation booklets;

  • working with a graphic designer for the layout of the 9 booklets;

  • working with a videographer and designer for post-production of the 31 video clips.
